What is the best way to build an inexpensive fence for a vegetable garden..?

We just want to make a small garden maybe 8X10 feet to plant 3-4 tomato plants and a couple other herbs like basil etc. We live in a subdivision where people will be uptight about a fence unless it looks nice but we back up to a nature preserve full of deer, rabbits racooons etc.

In addition to the aforementioned chicken wire (which is good for rabbits) use fishing line at higher points on the posts to discourage deer. Our fence is made up of 24" chicken wire zip-tied to the fence posts and two levels of fishing line (drawn tight from post to post) about a foot above the chicken wire and then just a couple inches below the top of the posts. The fishing line is said to work because if the deer try to step into your garden they will feel the fishing line touch them but will not be able to see it. This is booga-booga scary for them.
Reply:Use drive-in metal posts and chicken wire....the posts can be decorated and the wire is almost invisible.
Reply:A roll of chicken wire and metal stakes.
Reply:Panels used for dog kennels. 6' high and 6' or 12' wide.
