Can dead plants in my garden come back to life?

I have been gone for two weeks, and my garden is dry and dead. Is it too late, or can it be revived if I keep watering it? I live in the midwest...it is sunny and hot. I am having a birthday party for my daughter in 4 days...will my garden look good again or not? Help!!!

Try some water to find out which plants recover. Try not to overwater. After about a week, if you don't see green returning, pull out the dead growth and put in some new plants. If you are in a hurry to beautify your garden, don't put in seeds. You can put in very cheap seedlings with colorful flowers already beginning to bloom. My advice, pick the plants that have the flowers just begining to open up. The color will last longer.
Reply:Kinda hard to get them looking good in four days....But if your in a pinch, Try useing plastic flowers, there very inexpensive and you can bunch them together with real plants......When the party is over, put in real plants...
Reply:If they are brown, they will not come back. If they are still partially green you may have a chance to save them. You must remove all the dead plants from your garden as those plants are still trying to use any nutrient or water you place in the garden. You are better off starting all over. Good Luck.
Reply:spray mix gallons of miracle grow a teaspoon a gallon in the bucket and pour around the bases of the plants tip the plans with clean alcohol sterile trimmes or scissors just the tips and then water till run off for a week evry morning as night watering can lead to molds and rusts then after the intense food and water for the week cut the grass high like on four inches and allow the garden to rest from the water and the day before the party water it all again and then its as good as possible

Reply:There's a chance at least some of the plants may be revived if you water them regularly, but DON'T drown them! The amazing thing about plants is even though they appear dead, they could just be dormant and waiting for a bit of a pick-me-up. Unfortunately, the possibility of seeing your plants green again in four days time is quite slim.

yeah..... i didnt think so either. so honey, its da same with dem plants. ditch 'em and get some new ones. Happy Horticullturing.
Reply:A DEAD plant won't come back to life anymore than a DEAD person will. BUT if there is any green left there is hope. I doubt your garden is going to look very well but I would not pull anything out if it has life in it still!
