How do I identify suitable laundry detergents to use in our greywater system currently watering our garden?

We are currently draining greywater from our clothes washing machine to our garden bed. Does it matter which laundry detergent we are using?

Check the label. It should tell you what is in it. Don't know what country you're in but I use one called Green Care here in Australia and this is what it says on label:- Specially formulated with high quality ingredients derived from natural resources. It uses the natural stain removal power of lemons.

It's also one of the more economically priced ones too.

Reply:Did you know it is now totally illegal to run "grey water" on the ground anymore and must be tied into your regular sewage line? I do ..I was fined 500.00 for it and had to redo my lines..we are talking 8 miles out in the country too..
Reply:Use the organic laundry detergent and softener from Maleleuca. They are not only friendly to your plants, they are also friendly to the environment and our health.

That's one way on how I recycle my water.
