Using a snow blade on a garden tractor, will it tear up the asphalt on my driveway? If so, is there something that can be done to keep this from happening? I'm just using a small lawn tractor, so I do not think it is going to gauge it very bad, but I guess it could do some damage.
How to plow snow with a garden tractor without tearing up the driveway.?
They make a rubber mat to go on the bottom of your blade instead of the metal cutting edge this should work better for asphalt.
Reply:their should be shoes on the bottom of the blade to keep if from gouging the asphalt. you should be ok as long as your driveway is in good condition. If you have any holes or bumps the blade may knick the asphalt.
Reply:It might make some scratch marks but I doubt if it will gouge it.
