How to do a garden and small pond in a small front yard?

I just bought a home and I've always wanted a garden and a pond so I was wondering if anyone have photos or ideas they can share with me.

A picture of your yard would be nice. How small a pond are you talking? To some a small pond is 20 feet around, to others it may be 3 feet around. My yard is very small, and I'm thinking of doing a small (3') pond in my garden. I've been in my house for 3 years now %26amp; have been let down every summer. I do everything the instructions say for lighting, soil conditions, etc., and out of 20 plants 1 may live. The most important thing I've learned is don't get your hopes up %26amp; keep trying over %26amp; over again.
