I'd like to have the jungle at the front of the house removed and chuckies/driveway gravel laid down but am unsure if it is within budget - what is a ball park estimate for this? The 'garden' is 470cm x 720cm
How much should I pay for garden clearance?
Allow £25/ hour for a skilled properly equipped and insured contractor. A skip will cost around £250 a bit more if it is left on the road.
A lot less if you employ cowboys.
Without actually seeing the job I would say about £380+VAT for this job. More if parking is difficult or other factors which are going to complicate the job.
Reply:Where I live in the US it's usually done by the size of the job as opposed to skilled labor to do the job. So it is roughly 372 sq. feet or 40 2/3 yards. Sorry we still do feet and inches here.
Myself I probably wouldn't pay more than $200.00 or approximately £300
I might be considered cheap but I don't think so.
The teenagers in the neighborhood love to work for me because I pay fair wages.
Reply:Cash or Cheque !!!
This question answers itself i think !!
How long is a piece of string !!
Reply:Go and join your local Horticultural society and then ask one of the members who does gardening for a living
Reply:I paid a local man £30 to clear the jungle in my small front garden, if that helps.
Reply:It's always good to get two or three estimates from your yellow pages in the telephone book. Ask for a written contract as to what they are going to do for you.
Keep in mind that they have to take this to a special land fill and are usually charged by the weight. You need to pay for this too.
