I would like to section off part of my garden to build a house. Would I need a solicitors to do this?
How can I subdivide my garden?
You'll be needing a tape measure too!
Reply:Ask to speak to a local planning officer. He/she will be able to tell you what the local planning policy is with regards to subdivision, density, new access and roads, utilities access, etc.
Appoint a professional (ie: an architect) to assist you in getting documents together to make an application. He/she may also advise you on technical aspects, and in formalising a design of the new building.
This is beyond what most laypeople can do.
Reply:yes you can but it best to do a websearch
Reply:You need to get planning permission first!
