whenever I have a garden hose hanging up and not in use and then go to use it, it is blocked with a bunch of hay or long brown blades of grass! I am in northern california in the central valley.
what insect or animal is doing this?
Where does the hay in my garden hose come from?
Ants and spiders like to build nests in garden hoses. Those little black ants will carry blades of grass to a water supply. I keep a nozzle on my hoses to prevent unwanted critters in my hose.
