critters!
Putting human urine around garden plants like bell peppers keep rabbits away?
Human urine? No. It will not work. Rabbits are, for the most part, not afraid of us.
1. Regular Traps, not easy to find, must be used properly. Can be a liability if something gets caught that should not.
2. Live traps, not easy to find, you have to let the animals loose somewhere. They must be specially cleaned to take human scent off them to make them more effective.
3. Fencing, you must use fencing with small holes (small chicken wire), but remember they dig so you must bury the wire in the ground quite deep. In most urban areas you will have to disguise it too. Chicken wire doesn't meet most home owner codes.
4. Fox urine is effective in repelling wild rabbits, and it can be found in most sporting goods stores. Although it is effective, fox urine is quite expensive. If you have a large piece of property, it would probably be more economical to buy rabbit repellent from your local garden center. Rabbit repellent tastes very bad, and therefore causes rabbits to avoid areas that have been sprayed. Rabbit repellents should be reapplied after heavy periods of rain or snow. Even with a fence, it’s a good idea to surround your garden with things that emit odors that the rabbits hate. The most widely used items are garlic and lavender. They don’t like the odor of catnip, either, so plant a border of the stuff around your garden. Foxglove and monkshood also work because rabbits know they’re poisonous (maybe not a good idea if you have kids, though). These plants also tend to repel deer. Another alternative is to spread a concentrated garlic powder called Pro-Tecs. Camphor is also widely used, but not recommended. Though these animals hate camphor, spreading moth balls or anything similar around your property effectively coats your entire property in poison which can cause problems for you, your pets, your garden, and the local ground water.

or plant a small area epecially for them.. live in harmony rather than hatred..
really the chicken wire will be good...
Reply:It might work. I buy Hinder and it's some kind of urea. It has rabbits along with deer on the list to repel.
Reply:That is gross! Besides, it will kill your plants. What you need is a rabbit proof fence around the garden
Reply:No, you are not so much a predator threat to them.......you are just a strange smell on the plants. Coyote, bobcat urine would be more effective.......if even that is truly effective. You need to fence your garden with a very stout and tall fence. Have you tried sprinkling red pepper on the leaves?
Reply:Putting human urine for me is not a smart thing to do even you will not withstand the smell especially when the sun is up. Rabbit proofing your garden like fencing would be desirable
Reply:Try planting Marigolds in your garden. I've heard of the coyotee urine thing also. I think you're may need a chicken wire fence. I've read that if rabbits are hungry enough, they'll eat anything.
Reply:I read somewhere that pioneers used to tie sacks of human hair clippings around their garden to keep deer away--might work for rabbits. don`t know unless you try
Reply:so... you want "pee"ppers?
Reply:get u a huge..HUGE snake and let it do the trick...or a dog
