What is the best animal to put in your garden to eat snails?

I need help with snail control, bait is not enough I need some kind of biological control. What is the best animal to put in the garden to eat snails?

Back when I lived on the California coast a friend of mine had chickens that he kept loose in part of his back yard. They loved snails, and were always searching through the ivy looking for them. Also, with chickens you get fresh eggs, and chicken poop can be added to your compost as well.



But... you need to be aware that in some towns and cities they will not allow you to have chickens unless if you have enough acreage.
Reply:i found thst the best way to control snails/slugs in the garden is to bury a lid, metal or plastic even with the ground level,then fill lids with good old beer.change(empty) as required.you will be slug and snail proof in a very short time
Reply:I would suggest that you source a few native carnivorous snails. They will solve your problem the environmentally friendly way.
