I have recently come across some holes in the soil in my garden and they appear to be channels. If we cover them in then another one appears. Does anyone know what this could be?
What animal is living in the soil in my garden?
Moles and Voles are the two biggest tunnelers but it could be some other rodent or insect.
Reply:It sounds like you have a gopher.
Reply:MOLES!
they're cute, catch one and keep it.
hahahaha
Reply:If the holes are big,Your garden is infested with underground elephants,Prevalent in your area.Only way to cure this problem is to fill the holes with concrete.
Reply:Lots of things it could be... Moles, beetles, ants, moths and lots of other insects that burrow down into the earth to make small holes.
Reply:Its the biggest fattest worm you can imagine and when he gets big enough hes going to eat your house...
He is searching for a pack of underground elephants, he thinks he may be related to them...
Sorry I couldnt resist it...
Reply:Ah it will be some type of beetle if you find and grubs (maggot like things) i would kill them, not nice but it is the beetle grubs that do things like eat the roots of you plants!!
Reply:Badgers,Each channel is an escape hole and they are close to all food sources - garb's!
Reply:maybe a mole?!
Reply:a mole, probably called shaun or barry.
Reply:a mole? though moles are not usually found in gardens...unless you live in a fieldy place, might be a hedgehog i dunno
Reply:How big are they? Could be just worms or maybe a rabbit or even a mole. Also could be mice, rats, voles if you live near water, badgers if their HUGE....could be lots of things
